Does ORS stop vomitting?

Assuming someone is down with malaria and typhoid and then eating becomes a problem because whenever you eat, you tend to vomit. So it's as good as not eating. The vomiting is killing the appetite to eat.

Will it be okay, if the person takes ORS? Does it aid in anyway to stopping the vomiting?

When you vomit, you lose both water and electrolytes needed for normal functioning of the body. What ORS does is to replace the water and electrolytes being lost to allow the body to continue to function normally while the cause of the vomiting is identified and treated.

My advice is that any illness that results in vomiting more than once should be reported to a doctor so that appropriate actions can be taken on time. After losing much water and electrolytes, the body is usually too weak to do any meaningful thing.
